Please be advised that Wakefield Park’s policy for Speed off the Streets days will be changing effective 1 January, 2016.

Speed off the Streets days will be restricted to road-registered cars only; race cars will no longer be permitted to participate. All Speed off the Streets participants will be required to comply with a noise limit of 85dB measured at 30 metres flying past, which will be constantly monitored and strictly enforced.

Wakefield Park is also pleased to announce the introduction of Race Car Test and Tune days. These will be open to all race cars, including tin-tops, open-wheelers, Superkarts, historic cars and other log-booked race cars. Race Car Test and Tune days will operate at a noise limit of 90dB measured at 30 metres flying past, which will again be strictly enforced.

This change to our policy has been driven by a number of factors, including implementation of a responsible corporate position in working with both council and our neighbours to adopt an achievable way forward.

  Motorsport Section Rules
Posted by: jesuslewis - Yesterday, 11:33 AM - Forum: Performance - No Replies

The Motorsport section is for discussing everything to do with Motorsport.

This section is not here for people to prove they're better than everyone else or stroke their e-egos / abuse others etc. Remember, there is always someone quicker. We are not all 1 lap short of an F1 contract so keep that in mind when commenting on other personal Motorsport Experience.

As mentioned, this section has always been very good for not requiring moderation, so these rules won't come as a surprise to anyone in here as you all understand and respect this section for what it is.

Any of the following actions will result in moderation. The following rules apply:-

No personal attacks are allowed.

If you don't like a particular comment, then try to be constructive in your criticism and use common sense.

For those that breach the rules the following will occur

  International Sportscar Racing Thread
Posted by: jesuslewis - Yesterday, 11:32 AM - Forum: Performance - No Replies

I know we had a 2016 GT thread which is more or less dead now so i thought i'd start a central thread here for all types of domestic and international sports car and GT racing, will save us creating individual threads notifying others when events are being televised/streamed.

I went to the VLN at the Nurburgring on Saturday 24th June with my three boys, was awesome as always, great weather and we moved around to a number of different spectator area's - Hatzenbach, Tiergraten, Pflanzgarten, Brunnchen.

I snapped this video of an e46 M3 GTR hammering out of Hatzenbach and down the long straight, no other cars in front or behind for some time which is rare in a race with so many cars! As a result i got some great footage of the engine and gear changes as he stormed off into the distance. Turn up your speakers!

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

Windows 10 Shutdown Script through Scheduled task for specific time
Posted by: jesuslewis - 08-18-2017, 01:39 PM - Forum: Performance - No Replies

Hey all,

I have been working on trying to shutdown about 21 lab computers everyday at 11pm through scheduled task with a shutdown script which is as simple as:

REM Shutdown computers at 11;%windir%\system32\shutdown.exe /s /f /t 0 /c "Computer shutting down"

The computers did not shutdown when I tested it for 11.30am.
A few things:

-any parameters that need to be defined for the task to run without interruption from user/system profiles? I have enabled run with highest privileges on domain administrator profile.
-would this be affected if active hours are defined within the system?
-best way to perform this process without any hassle?

Thanks

  Memory leak (usage gradually increases)
Posted by: jesuslewis - 08-18-2017, 01:38 PM - Forum: Performance - No Replies

Ever since I upgraded to Windows 10, I have noticed something. The memory usage gradually increases over time (starts off just under 30%, takes only a few days to climb to 50%, depending on how many programs I use) and I inevitably have to reboot, after which the whole cycle starts over again. All I know is that something in the background is gradually eating away at the memory and I have been unable to track down what it is. I looked in the Resource Manager once and found that the processes using the largest amounts of memory were OSDSrv.exe, the webcam which I don't know how to turn off, MsMpEng.exe (the Windows Defender process), and SearchUI.exe which is just Cortana sitting idle in the background. Can anyone help me? Also the non-paged pool of memory is larger than the paged pool of memory but they are within 100MB of each other.

Windows 10 Check Disk at every startup since creators update
Posted by: jesuslewis - 08-18-2017, 01:37 PM - Forum: Performance - No Replies

Hi everyone.

Ever since I updated Windows 10 to the creators update a few weeks ago, my HP Spectre laptop at startup has a message that pops up asking to perform a chkdsk or press space bar within 8 seconds.

Any suggestions/recommendations on how to stop/get rid of this from appearing at startup?

Cheers!
